Your challenge

As a Software Engineer for Internal Business Applications, your focus is to guarantee the smooth operation of our business applications. You participate in implementing new features and work on enhancing and refining processes in our existing applications. You are involved in analyzing, designing, and implementing new features, as well as brainstorming and developing new applications. After gaining relevant experience, you can take on the role of a product owner for an application, overseeing its optimal performance and ensuring it stays up to date.
You are responsible for:


•    Working out the optimal solution for specific applications in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
•    Offering training and support to colleagues in the use of these applications.
•    Representing OMP in meetings and discussions with external partners. These technical discussions primarily focus on integrating our internal applications and data storage with third-party applications.
•    Supporting the use of third-party applications, such as Salesforce, MS Dynamics, and Omnitracker, within the company.
•    Developing web tools for reporting.
•    Building and maintaining pipelines and acting as an ETL engineer specialized in data movement and transformation. 

Your challenge

About you

Essential talents and qualifications:

  • A degree in a field related to computer science, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong programming skills and a solid understanding of object-oriented principles.
  • An analytical mindset that effortlessly combines attention to detail with a strong overall view.
  • A solid understanding of relational databases like SQL Server or Oracle.
  • Comfortable working in cross-functional teams and collaborating with product managers, DevOps engineers, and QA specialists.
  • Experience with large language models.
  • Good understanding of web security concepts, including OAuth2, API authentication and authorization, and secure integration patterns.

Bonus points if you have:

  • A first work experience in software product development.
  • Experience with database technology, preferably SQL.
  • Knowledge of web development
