OMP’s annual company event this year was themed around the Olympics: The OMPic Games. Opportunities to learn new skills, showcase our talents, and strengthen bonds with colleagues filled the day, reflecting OMP’s commitment to fostering teamwork, diversity, and wellbeing.

A day vibrant with camaraderie, challenge, and connectivity

Mindful of the Olympic motto of "building a better world through sports”, OMP people assembled with European colleagues for a day of camaraderie, sporting challenge, and laughter. Team members could embrace a fresh challenge, try something new, or just enjoy a relaxing afternoon. From friendly soccer matches and relay races to quidditch and skill-building workshops, the OMPic Games was a dynamic platform for teamwork and personal growth. The event also included a wheelchair basketball taster, giving colleagues a unique opportunity to experience sport from a different perspective, enhancing inclusivity and understanding. With the chance to choose activities reflecting individual interests and levels of sporting prowess, the event became an extraordinary and fulfilling experience for everyone.

Celebrating diversity

With 46 of OMP’s 60 nationalities on show, the event was a vibrant celebration of our diverse company culture and their wide-ranging interests. Global spirit isn’t an empty idea or a vague concept, it’s the foundation that defines us as a company in everything we do and everything we achieve. This was clearly on display during the flag ceremony that wrapped up the action-packed afternoon, not least when our CEO took a moment to express her pride in and acknowledge the diversity of nationalities and colleagues taking part in the event.

Connections grow stronger with shared food

Just as food can bring people from every culture together, the same holds true at OMP. Whether it’s the food or the connections, how can we tell? But there’s always a certain energy when colleagues come together to eat. With that in mind, the day ended with drinks and a delightful BBQ. Colleagues mingled, shared stories, and celebrated their achievements, creating lasting memories and friendships, and further solidifying the sense of community within our company.

The successful event highlighted the power of diversity, teamwork, and connection and exemplifies OMP’s commitment to fostering a collaborative and inclusive workplace culture. Here's to many more such celebrations in the future!
