Our company
OMP is a Belgian company specialized in software solutions and consulting for advanced supply chain planning. Founded in 1985, we now work with major international industrial players such as BASF, Johnson & Johnson, Solvay, Bayer and Nestlé.
Our proprietary platform, Unison Planning, a cloud-native solution with optimization engines and AI components, supports the entire planning cycle, from network design to operational planning.
OMP employs more than 1,500 people across Europe, North and South America, Asia and Australia, with our head office in Wommelgem.
The market is evolving rapidly due to increasing complexity, cloud migration and AI integration, and OMP is pursuing both organic and inorganic growth plans. Since 2020, Ackermans & van Haaren has been on board as a minority shareholder in OMP. AvH has provided strong support in recent years on acquisition trajectories.
As M&A is becoming an increasingly important topic for the coming years, this dependency on AvH is being reduced, and OMP has recently established an internal Investment Committee that explores potential partnerships, minority investments and targeted acquisitions to strengthen the technological ecosystem.

Your challenge
As a Corporate Development & M&A Professional, you support the identification, evaluation and execution of strategic initiatives across M&A, partnerships and investments. The role combines strong analytical rigor with strategic market insight and contributes to building and managing a pipeline of potential opportunities, performing financial and strategic analyses, and supporting transaction execution.
In addition, the position offers progressive exposure to partnership discussions, ecosystem engagement and post-transaction integration initiatives. The role works in close collaboration with the Investment Committee, Finance and Legal teams, and business leadership, and offers direct exposure to executive-level decision-making within a fast-growing, international, technology-driven organization.
You are responsible for:
- Contributing to the identification, sourcing and screening of potential acquisition, partnership and investment opportunities aligned with OMP’s strategic priorities.
- Actively supporting market and opportunity mapping across relevant domains, including supply chain software, AI-driven planning solutions, solver technologies and related IT services.
- Driving financial and strategic analyses to assess strategic fit, value creation potential, scalability and risks.
- Preparing clear, structured analysis and decision-support materials for the Investment Committee and senior management.
- Supporting the end-to-end transaction process, including preparation of investment materials, coordination of internal stakeholders and interaction with external advisors.
- Coordinating and supporting financial, legal and operational due-diligence processes, ensuring high-quality outputs across all workstreams.
- Contributing to deal structuring discussions and negotiation preparation together with senior stakeholders.
- Supporting post-transaction integration planning and follow-up, including monitoring of value creation and synergies.
- Building and maintaining strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners, including potential targets, management teams, advisors and ecosystem participants.
About you
Essential talents and qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Management or other relevant disciplines.
- Proven experience with prior buy-side experience or in advisory backgrounds such as Investment Banking, M&A, or within a relevant division of a Big 4 (Transaction Services, Valuation/Business Modelling, M&A and Corporate Finance), preferably in a technology, software, SaaS, AI, or IT services context.
- Solid exposure to M&A and strategic transaction processes, including opportunity assessment, valuation, due diligence and transaction execution.
- Strong financial and analytical capabilities, with the ability to assess strategic fit, value creation potential and risks.
- Structured, pragmatic and execution-oriented mindset, with the ability to synthesize complex information, manage multiple priorities and operate effectively in lean, fast-moving environments.
- Strong business acumen and strategic curiosity, with interest in software-driven and technology-enabled business models.
- Basic legal awareness in the context of transaction processes, with familiarity with common deal structures, documentation and advisor-led workflows.
- Ability to interact credibly with senior management and multifunctional stakeholders, acting as a trusted and reliable sparring partner.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Entrepreneurial attitude, high level of ownership, discretion and integrity.
- Fluent in English; Dutch preferred.
