With its business in Brazil growing fast, and sustainability more and more on the agenda, our office in São Paulo celebrates its first decade this year.

From small beginnings…

The Brazil office was born when our first project for Aperam went live in 2014. The new Brazilian hub meant that OMP could better serve its South American customers. Christophe Ourliac, Associate Director remembers how it all started: “In the beginning the office was in my garage!”.

10 years on, there's a real office in São Paulo and an inspired team, working with companies like Klabin (paper, film and packaging), Bekaert (metals), Braskem (chemicals), Beiersdorf (life sciences), and Natura (consumer goods) supporting and advising on real-world solutions for the supply chain planning challenges they all face.

Melting pot of nationalities

This diversity is also reflected in the OMP Brazil team who represent a vibrant mix of nationalities including Portuguese, Italian, Romanian, Japanese, French, Canadian, and Colombian, and the list goes on.

A few fun facts

• Our taxi driver, Rodrigo, is a legend. He was one of the first to join the OMP team and he’s still here. Working at OMP even led him to study English!
• There are two types of people in our Brazilian office: those who love the air condition and those who hate it. The latter are easily spotted by the sweaters they wear in the summer. 😉
• The office is located in a very pleasant São Paulo neighborhood with a lot of good restaurants.

To mark the occasion, the Brazilian team enjoyed a cake-cutting ceremony at the OMP Conference in São Paulo.

From those small beginnings in 2014, OMP Brazil had continued to grow and innovate and the company is actively seeking new talent.
