Your challenge
As a Quality Assurance Test Manager, you optimize and control our quality assurance test process. You lead, coach, and inspire a global team of quality assurance test engineers. You manage the development and safeguard the quality standards, test strategy definition, guidelines, and test approaches.
You are responsible for:
- Designing, implementing, and monitoring reliable release test plans in close collaboration with our product development managers.
- Following up on all stepsfrom the initial scope negotiation with the Project Manager and (agile) development process to the implementation of test strategy, test plan, testing, and quality assurance.
- Evaluating the test and continuous improvement processes.
- Delegating to our test experts and senior test engineers, but, when necessary, you’re not afraid to get your hands dirty.
- Reporting about testing, testing projects, and testing program activities.
- Participating in tooling selection and supporting their implementation.
- Encouraging team membersto share feedback and ideas and empowering them to realize their targets and push continuous improvement.
- Facilitating and coordinating cross-team collaboration with development teams, but also with ICT, Cloud, Security, Documentation, and Customer Services teams.
- Ensuring all priorities are met and all stakeholders are kept informed about progress.
- Reporting to Executive Management about challenges with respect to the quality of our products and team management.
Your team
As a Quality Assurance Test Manager, you’ll be part of a large, fast-growing, international Quality Assurance team located in Belgium (Antwerp, Ghent, Wavre), Spain (Barcelona), Ukraine (Lviv), and the US (Atlanta). Quality Assurance identifies and tracks the weak spots in our software. With thorough testing, and a systematic analysis and review of the entire software development cycle, the team oversees, controls, and optimizes our solution’s overall quality.Your profile
We are looking for someone who meets the following qualifications:
- A Master or PhD in ICT, Engineering, Mathematics, or another relevant field.
- At least 5 years of experience in managing and coaching a quality assurance test team.
- Strong background and working experience with programs, projects, test management, and agile practices.
- A solid technical IT background with knowledge of scripting language
- Knowledge of all the ins and outs of test management.
- Great communication skills to connect easily with team members, senior managers, coaches, development managers, product managers, and consultants.
- Experience in managing a team and leading by example.
- The eagerness to dive into technical details when required.
- Willingness to travel to multiple locations based on the geographical spread of your team.
Bonus points if you have:
- Experience and knowledge of the benefits and pitfalls of working in virtual teams spread over multiple locations.
- Experience in automation testing.
- Experience with agile implementation methodology.
- A certificate in in Improvement and Change Management (Lean Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt, Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP))
